In July 2000 I was asked by Bing Gallery, Oakland to create
a site-specific installation in a huge lot behind the gallery.
Having lived next to a freeway for five years, I came to discover
that my front door was a popular dumpsite for unwanted car
parts. Having had a few car tragedies and feeling the stress
of cars and traffic from the perspectives of both the driver
and biker, I created an installation from automotive waste
and a forum about transportation involving diverse perspectives.
