While FabLab Playshops are designed for our QTBIPOC community, we believe that all intersections of our community can benefit from the learning and creative growth of FabLab. All are welcome to register for our monthly FabLab Playshops.
Most Playshops will take place in-person as well as online. When you register, please be sure to select IN-PERSON or ONLINE.
Note on in-person participation: The health and safety of our artists and community is our highest priority. We require all in-person participants to be fully vaccinated and to wear a mask. We will ask to see proof of vaccination and ID at check-in and will ask those who are not vaccinated to participate online.
Note on online participation: You will receive a zoom link for access to the Playshop a few days before the event along with instructions for how to engage with the Teaching Artist and other participants.
Registration is available on a sliding scale basis. We are committed to ensuring that all intersections of our community have access to our programs. You will receive a confirmation email from support@peek.com once your registration is complete. In case of emergency or illness, please contact us to reschedule or cancel your reservation, we would be happy to accommodate: info [at] eyezen [dot] org

What to Know:
The health and safety of our participants and artists are our top priority. To follow Covid Safety Guidelines, we are including the following rules:
Masks required while indoors
Must provide proof of vaccination at check-in
Show up with full presence:
I will recognize this as a Brave Space --comfort is not an expectation in this space, and transformation is all about discomfort
I will stay in my body: I will move, make facial gestures, use silence and turn on my camera to stay engaged
I will resist the urge to multi-task. Parents and caregivers are essential to this space and all spaces. We will support you in taking care of yourselves and those around you as needed.
Advocate for myself:
I will speak in “I” statements
I have permission to speak in draft: my uncertainty will not be held against me
My emotions are safe and welcome
Exercise self-awareness:
I will maintain awareness of natural or imposed power dynamics and imbalances.
I will continue to recognize my own power, privilege and authority
I will use chat as a means to add value to the activity rather than distract from the activity
The FabLab Team will not tolerate disrespect or abuse of any individual, related (but not limited) to their: sexual orientation, gender and gender expression, religious beliefs, place of origin, skin color, immigration status, or age.
We are working to make this space as creative and safe as possible for our community. Have suggestions for how we can do better? Send us an email at info [at] eyezen [dot] org.
