Tina D’Elia (she/her)
Tina D’Elia is a mixed-race Mexican, lesbian/queer-identified feminist artist, performance coach, acting instructor, SAG-AFTRA actor, and award-winning solo performer, casting director, executive producer, and co-screenwriter. D’Elia is honored to be a Teaching Artist with Eye Zen Presents FabLab! D’Elia is the Program Director for LezWritesBTQ Program with 3Girls Theatre Company. In 2021 D’Elia had the honor of portraying the historic queer roles of Peggy Caserta and Hibiscus de La Blossom in the critically acclaimed solo show OUT of Site: Haight-Ashbury by Eye Zen presents, directed by Seth Eisen, and written by Michelle Carter. D’Elia co-wrote an episode in 3Girls Theatre’s, The Sins and Secrets of Tabar Lake radio play and did the voice over credits (2021). D’Elia is honored to be cast in the lesbian rom com feature film Grace by JD Glass set to film spring 2022 in Chicago, IL. D’Elia received an Executive Producer Award (2019) Best Actress Award (2017) Diversity Casting Award (2017), and the Trailblazer Award (2015) from the Equality International Film Festival.
D'Elia’s solo shows include: The Break-Up! A Latina Queer Torch Song, Overlooked Latinas, The Rita Hayworth of this Generation, which garnered Best of Fringe and Best of Sold-Out Shows with the San Francisco Fringe Festival (2015), Groucho: A Day in the D’Elia Soup, and Forgotten Angel. She is the co-writer of the short film Lucha that received The Audience Award at Frameline33 LGBT Film Festival (2009). D'Elia’s film/tv/webseries acting credits include: The Pursuit of Happyness, Knife Fight, Transfinite, Trauma, Sense8, Dyke Central, Chosen Fam, and Assigned Female at Birth. She was nominated for Best Female Comedian in the 48 Film Festival (2010). D’Elia is honored to be listed in Curve Magazine’s Power List (2017) and Go Magazine’s 100 Women We Love (2019).
